About us

I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital with a special interest in retinal disease.

I completed my medical school training at St Mary’s Hospital Medical School, London. I have an additional degree in Human Genetics from University College London, obtaining a First Class Honors Degree.

My Ophthalmology training has mostly taken place in London, at Moorfields Eye Hospital and the Western Eye Hospital. I also spent two years pursuing a research degree in the treatment of Retinal Detachment and Proliferative Vitreoretinopathy, a scarring response that may affect patients after retinal surgery. I have published widely on the subject of retinal disease and continue to maintain my research interests. I am currently involved in a number of clinical research projects at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

I was appointed as a Consultant in Vitreoretinal Surgery and Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital in 2009. I split my clinical time between the main hospital at City Road and our large hub at St Georges’ Hospital, Tooting. I also have an interest in clinical management, in particular the delivery of high quality care within the NHS. I was appointed joint Clinical Director of Moorfields South in 2012.
